Best Seller Harry Potter!

Harry Potter & They Loved In 2075!

Harry Potter series redefined fantasy genre and made J. K. Rowling one of the most celebrated and best selling authors. Its popularity was unlike that of The Alchemist, Lolita, Anna Karenina and other best sellers. Because it garnered a cult like fan following, to the extent that the author achieved a celebrity status. The Harry Potter series was not unique because of the author's style of writing, but her skill to relate episode based events and sequences with each other with such eloquence that the reader was left with no option, but to read further in order to know more about the succeeding sequences that bore indispensable clues to better understand the previous sequence of events. The element of mystery was handled with literary intellect that is not every author’s forte. But J. K. Rowling arranged the events in such a way that it compelled the reader to know more and discover the secret; that often vanished like a phantom and resurfaced in another sequence like a naked reality. Leaving the reader startled and at times confronted with the element of surprise so intense that the reader felt cast under the spell that forced him/her to read further and finally unlock the secret that bore all answers. Thus culminating into direct cause of reader’s joyful excitement that only ceases when the reader concludes reading the entire series. And no wonder, Harry Potter became one of the leading best sellers of all time.

Now, let us examine these lines from the Harry Potter series:

A- Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living. And above all, pity those who live without #love

B- It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities

What do you think? Yes, you are correct! J. K. Rowling has a very unique way of expressing deep thoughts. With such simplicity that anyone who feels and has a heart, would instantly get emotionally drawn towards each word, and eventually sink in their never ending appeal. And it is at this point that you as a reader are now driven by J. K. Rowling's subtle spell, that leads you in the middle of a sequence, and then as you are about to conclude you have uncovered the main puzzle, you are led into a bigger and more fascinating riddle, and this continues as long as you have not read the last page. It will not be wrong to say that to be a best seller, magical writing is necessary, writing about magic is not necessary! And in Harry Potter series , J. K. Rowling has accomplished the impossible by writing magically about magic. Simply brilliant!

The characters in the Harry Potter series are unique too. They posses Shakespeare like attention to detail when it comes to assigning names to characters based on their characteristics and roles played by them in the novel. Let us examine a few:

A- Remus Lupin the werewolf teacher

Origin and meaning of the name:

Remus and his twin brother Romulus were the founders of Rome in Roman mythology. Their mother was Rhea Silvia, daughter of the king of Alba Longa, Numitor, and their father was Mars, the Roman god of war and equivalent of the Greek god Ares.

Throughout Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Remus Lupin may be hiding a huge secret from Harry and his friends, but finally he helps Harry. He teaches him how to use Expecto Patronum and defend himself against Dementors. He also is a source of encouragement and he offers a sort of indirect support to Harry and his friends. His character in the Harry Potter series embodies the essence of Remus.

B- Hermione

Origin and meaning of the name:

Hermione is a feminine given name derived from the Greek messenger god Hermes. Hermione was the daughter of Menelaus and Helen in Greek mythology. According to the Iliad, Menelaus was a central figure in the Trojan War, leading the Spartan contingent of the Greek army, under his elder brother Agamemnon, king of Mycenae. And we all know who was Helen and who was her father. Zeus Himself!

In Harry Potter series Hermione possesses the ability to smartly derive the best knowledge from her books and apply it in the most trying situations; and rescue Harry Potter and his friends from the snares of magical trickery when they felt completely outwitted. Hermione Granger is easily the smartest and most resourceful of the Hogwarts students during Harry's time there. However, when we examine her enthusiasm and ways of learning and pursuing education, we may find it unconventional and unruly. Nevertheless, it is her application of everything she learns that is impressive. And elevates her character with such elan that one is forced to admit that only a direct descendent of Zeus could display such impressive qualities. Thus she too, like other characters in the Harry Potter series lives upto the meaning of her name.

C- Kingsley Shacklebolt

Origin and meaning of the name:

Kingsley is an English given name. Written in Old English as Cyningesleah, this locational name means "from the king's wood, glade or meadow,"

Shackle bolt is the metal part of chain; holding everything together and it also means to claim that one is better than another at some activity

Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt was a British pure-blood wizard in the employment of the Ministry of Magic and we all know what all he was best at. He worked for the Ministry as an Auror. His character is of paramount importance. He is a high-ranking Auror within the Ministry of Magic, allowing him to feed vital information to the Order of the Phoenix. He even uses one spell that appears to stop time before launching his opponent out of the window. At the end of the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Shacklebolt becomes the new Minister for Magic. Being a pure-blood wizard one can say with confidence that he was "from the king's wood, glade or meadow,"

It is these little details that qualify a book as a best seller.

Now imagine all these characters in 2075, where they are not dealing with magicians and their wands, but with Artificial Intelligence and robots with superior intelligence. Do you think Harry Potter would have succeeded in his errands even with the help of Hermione? Because AI is capable of learning anything and everything in nano seconds, and once it has learned a skill, it becomes best at it. And in the sci-fi novel titled “They Loved in 2075” the main character, named Saabir, is a Harry Potter in his own right. His battle is not against demons and witches. His battle is to restore the degrading ecosystem of the Earth and restore the lost glory of humanity. Read the sci-fi novel, They Loved in 2075, and rediscover romance, and also understand your role as a responsible citizen of the planet Earth in reviving the forests and most important of all, human values and relationships.

To know if #love and humans can survive together in 2075, read the sci-fi novel, They Loved in 2075!
