Science fiction. End of the worlds!

“Believe me or just let it be!”

This is what I hear her say. And that too very often. So frequently that on certain days I sometimes think I have not heard anything else. However, due to my indifference whenever she says it; at times she adopts a completely vindictive stance towards something that she so vigorously believes in. And I am not to blame for this, because she never goes any further than her favourite line: Believe me or just let it be!

What does she want me to believe in? Only she, and maybe the God knows. Sometimes I doubt whether or not God is at all sure about what she is referring to. One thing is certain, she knows something that she has come to believe in very strongly, and she needs someone she can confide in. For now it is not me and I suppose nobody else either.

If you are wondering why, I have already answered that part. She never proceeds any further than: Believe me or just let it be!

Nevermind, that is my friend and her fantasy that she believes in. Which could be real too. Only she would know that.

I am keen to share her secret when she is ready, and more than anything else, she should be willing to share it with me. Right now, it does not seem to be the case. She is neither willing nor ready.

I am sure, at this moment you are wondering who I am. I come from the part of the Universe where my people live in the future. Yes, that is correct. For the rest of the Universe we live in the future. It is due to the placement of our planet in such a region of the Universe where most of the forces of the Universe are born. I shall let you wonder or think about the rest.

Since we know the future and we are from the future. That is only applicable to the rest of the Universe, and not at all to our own world. But we are working on a technology where we can even predict the future of our own planet and our population.

This should not give you an impression that time behaves differently on our planet. The principles of time behave exactly the way they do in your world. Not considering the pace of time, because that varies almost across the universe, no matter which verse you belong to.

It should help you understand why we know the future of the rest of the Universe, including you. The inhabitants of the Earth. We do not call you men and women, on our planet you are known as beings. Who think a little, do a little, and then wish to control the entire universe. A strange fascination among a few civilisations living on many beautiful planets across the Universe. That is why most of them get wiped out, and a few persist.

We, the FutureTrons, do not have any such wish to become the masters of the universe. We only believe in living good lives, where our population enjoys all facilities without any discrimination, and contributes towards making the race of FutureTrons last forever- At least as long as the Universe lasts.

We have achieved ultimate harmony when it comes to balancing the resources of our planet with our needs. We have mastered technologies that without exploiting any natural resource generate enough energy to sustain our entire population without disturbing its ecosystem.

Our planet is different from yours and we have to manage natural resources diligently. We do not imitate the Sun to generate similar energy sources. Hydrogen gas is abundant in the Universe, but it serves a purpose that many thinking beings of the Universe are not aware of. Just like many of them are not aware of Dark matter or Dark energy.

Instead the ideal solution lies in achieving singularity in energy consumption throughout the planet i.e. any device, any machine, anything that you use to achieve a desired output, mechanically or electronically, should be using the same energy source. A sort of perfect uniformity. It enables us to channel energy streams through grids, further distributed to these peripherals. Even our spaceships are based on the same source of power supply.

We cannot carry a grid that is stationed on our planet along with us while we are traveling to different ends of the Universe. Therefore we use special batteries that are far more efficient than nuclear energy and offer so much power that they can last more than a decade. And their source of energy is the same. Perfect uniformity.

It is like the Sun. Almost all planets have single source of energy i.e. The sun, their nearest star. Then all living forms use the sun's energy to generate energy in their living forms/bodies to sustain their life sustaining processes. For example: Plants, Fish etc. etc. On FutureTron we have accomplished this advanced level of engineering with 95% applicability across all devices and machines. And we are still working on making it more efficient, until we achieve 100% uniformity. We call it “God-like balance.” But to achieve this state a civilisation has to be less greedy and devoted to the cause he/she chooses.

And that is where most of the thinking beings on different planets go wrong. They achieve too much diversification in technology without paying any attention to the source of energy that these multiple technologies would require to power their operational objectives. Thus putting tremendous strain on natural resources.

Anyway, my friend is here and she is again repeating the same line: Believe me or just let it be! But today it is slightly different because she is sitting beside me. And it seems she wants to share her long kept secret with me. I am excited and I can barely wait to hear the secret. A long kept secret. At times I feel she has been saying this line ever since I have known her.

“Ranteon, I want to share something with you. You may call it my act of vindication, from the impression you have developed about me due to my favourite but now infamous line: Believe me or just let it be!

I know I have said it so often that anybody would feel exasperated. But you have to believe whatever I tell you. And promise me you will not ridicule me afterwards. I do not want to sound surreptitious either, and I think I can trust you, because I know you so well; and I believe you are one of the best and most reliable FutureTrons I have ever known.”

As soon as she said these lines, she went silent and with her eyes fixed on me, she was now expecting a response. Almost like a male Western Capercaillie that puts on the best display during the mating season, and then with that innocent and deep look of expectation seeks an approval from the nearby female. It was that sort of expression and an even stronger expectation that she had from me. And I did not want to be a vaunted Western Capercaillie heaving with bubbles of vanity. I wanted to believe her, because I always did. And today I could prove it by listening to her patiently and then offer her my support in whatever plausible way possible.

And to achieve this objective, listening patiently was the first step, and I am glad I took it. Without wasting even a moment, she started explaining her belief with carefully chosen words.

“Ranteon, I have seen something that I want to share with you. I saw it when I was very young, you were a child then, maybe a few years older than me. On the day my dear uncle had passed away. And I was feeling low and very sad.

As you know, on our planet we can predict the future of the rest of the Universe. At least that is what everyone believes. But what if someone can see this future with open eyes and it relates to different and unknown planets spread across the multiverse.

The wise Elders of FuturteTron clan, have developed technologies where they capture these future based happenings in a simulation and then store it in data bits. And few of our neighbouring planets, where we know intelligent life exists, are outsourced this information based on their need, and in return we use some of their resources like: water. Because it is one of the most rare natural resources found on our planet.

I have read about Rainman and the technology that can be used to generate rain, but there is nothing like natural water. Here is a short story about Rainman that I had read recently:

The Rainman

So, the Elders capture these future simulations of energies and translate them into meaningful and sensible expressions. Both visual and text based. However, Ranteon I can see it with my naked eyes. I see the future relating to different planets, not just one planet.

Yesterday, when I was in the Elders’ chamber, they received a delegation from the planet called “FractMot.” They were worried about two stars colliding, and in the aftermath FractMot will be covered in a huge mushroom of intense fire that will kill them all. They had come to seek advice from the Elders. I do not want to talk about what the Elders told them. But what they described to the Elders, I had already seen it a year ago. It was very clear and so vivid, that I can still recall its every detail.

And you must have watched the news relays transmitted by the community of Elders, where they had asked every FutureTron to assist with the migration of every FractMot member to our secondary planet. Where we usually offer refuge to those who become victims of cosmic vicissitudes. Until they permanently move to the next planet by using their technology or by seeking assistance from our chief technology architects. The wisest Elders.

Now, recently why did the Elders ask every FutureTron member to be a part of a rescue mission aimed at moving FractMot members to our secondary planet? Because their planet is going to be consumed by this cosmic explosion where nothing will survive, nothing at all.

It is true that ancients feared death, but we only fear dying. But when the planet is bound to meet its end, dying becomes more fearsome and more macabre than any other experience. Because when a planet dies, with it die the memories of the past, memories of the loved ones, it marks the end of many worlds, not just one world.

And Ranteon. I see, and I can predict death! Because that is what I see when it comes to seeing the future. A sort of selective vision from the future. The end of things, the end of planets, the end of lives, the end of beginnings as well. And the end of the FutureTron planet will be inevitable once we have migrated the FractMot population to our secondary planet.

They are greedy and they have been vying our planet for many years now, but our Elders are very gracious and kind. I was least surprised when they agreed to offer them refuge on our secondary planet.

A week from their settlement on the secondary planet. They will realise the special properties few of the rare metals and radioactive substances possess. Especially radioactive substances that can generate supernova-like energy rings, by manipulating their outer shells.

As we all know, on FutureTron they are far more stable in the natural ecosystem than any known radioactive substances and are harmless when it comes to nuclear wastes. Because they produce almost none.

Once the greedy officials of FractMot discover this truth, they will develop weapons that will be enough to put them in a position where they will have a stronger bargaining power. Which they will use when they will deal with the Elders and ask them to leave FutureTron.

You have to believe me Ranteon. It is true. Please, believe me!”

I had nothing to say instantly. So with my eyes I offered her the affirmation that I believed her. I was still phrasing and rephrasing the right words in my mind, to tell her that I believed her and I will discuss it with the Elders.

Nearly after two minutes, I said something that made her feel light and trusted as well.

“Imrene, let me tell you something. I trust you completely. And at FutureTron we have been working on a project where we simulate energies of thinking beings across the universe and transpose these energies or thoughts on intelligent screens that predict the future of FutureTron. And what you said, our system has detected similar thoughts emerging from the universe. But we are not sure what was the source of this energy simulation. Because we are still working on classifying the sources of these energy simulations. We are close to achieving that too but not at the moment.

The Elders have been worried since they learned about it. If you would accompany me, and tell them the facts yourself, they will be glad to make you a part of our research team. It will be a great combination of technology coupled with a brain that can understand future events.

And, our systems did show that someone will use the rare metals and rare radioactive substances unique to our secondary planet to claim absolute control over FutureTron. And in order to avoid any threat of this nature, we have deployed impenetrable laser networks across the zones where these radioactive substances are found. To add an additional level of security, we have activated the eye in the sky that will monitor every action of the FractMot population once they are on our secondary planet.

As you know, we have the most advanced means to defend our planet. But being a peace loving planet, we will not block the transfer of FractMot population to our secondary planet. Instead, we will offer them a deadline to migrate to a different and habitable planet that lies 30000 light years away. According to the treaty, they will have to initiate the process from the second day of their arrival on our secondary planet.

They were shocked to know this new development but we have every right to protect the interests of FutureTron subjects, that includes you as well.

So how about a meeting with the Elders now?”

She instantly agreed and followed me to the Elders’ chamber. There they listened to her intently and offered her every assurance that they will not let FractMot officials gain control over an inch of FutureTron. And they immediately inducted her into the elite members council of Elders.

FractMots have landed on the secondary planet and they are now preparing to begin the voyage to their new world. We at FutureTron hope they will be less greedy, and just stay needy and work to fulfil those needs. Because the universe has so much to offer to everyone.

Whenever I am free, I sit with Imrene, she tells me about her visions and I am fascinated by most of them. She really has a unique gift, and on our planet we call her “the girl who knows the future.” Recently she told me about your planet, the Earth. And according to her, you should do something about Global warming and Climate change before it is too late. And you may not be as lucky as the FractMot population, because our planet has a secondary planet that can support life. Had it not been so, the FractMot population would have either perished or waged a war against us, which they would have lost, without any doubt.

To help you better understand your future I have translated Imrene’s visions of the future Earth in the science fiction novel titled, They Loved in 2075. It will not be an easy battle, you will have to use every resource wisely if you want the Earth to support life. To know how, and if you still have doubts about the why part. Please read the science fiction novel, They Loved in 2075!

I am keen to hear Imrene say this very soon, “here is my new vision about the future of the Earth. They have become as wise as our wise Elders and they are utilising every resource with extreme care and proper evaluation.”

Who knows, maybe someday I will convince the wise Elders of FutureTron to pay you a visit and share some of our technologies with you. But for that to happen, you need to prove that you care for the planet that supports you all, and in ways alike!

And please do not take me otherwise when I say we will pay you a visit. It does not mean we are superior. It simply means one thing, and this thing alone. “Example is more forcible than precept!” And we intend to show you live examples of how technology can become the best friend of any race of thinking beings, without harming the planet.

Thank you and welcome to the vision of a beautiful future for the entire Universe.

Ps. Dedicated to my dear uncle who is now travelling Heavenward. RIP.
