The year is 2075 and humans co-exist with intelligent machines. Why co-exist? Because anything that possesses self awareness with an instinct to be protective of its species, then anyone who lives in the territory of this species has to learn to co-exist or not exist at all. That is why in 2075 humans co-exist with intelligent machines, who have developed self awareness. 

As Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning based synthetic intelligence is getting smarter, the network that manages these machines is getting wider and becoming more complex. And with this the network is becoming more vulnerable and prone to attacks. Because the network has many interaction points as well as action points, and every point offers the potential to be hacked or manipulated by hackers.

The main concern is the network driven video and audio calls, where the susceptibility to being hacked is extremely high. However, there are many companies in 2075 that are working to solve this problem with some innovative ideas.

Whenever a video or audio call is launched, it needs a database to facilitate the Voice Over Internet Protocol ( VOIP ) or even for sending messages or any media file or information from one address to another via a network requires a database. But in 2075, this is changing due to the threats posed by hackers, who mostly exploit databases. A highly innovative technology company in 2075 has developed a solution which has no dependency on databases, and is still able to support all calling related features.  

In 2075, there are many who do not want this new technology to gain popularity or become advanced, because then the intelligent network will lose its potency and it will be less self aware. But there are men and women in 2075, who think this technology is quite revolutionary and when humans become intergalactic, it would forever change the way we communicate. At that stage it will be highly crucial, because during intergalactic travels any network related vulnerability will pose a greater risk to the entire planet and the species living there. And it is with this futuristic view that this company is working on a secret technology to eliminate the use of databases altogether and replace them with something highly innovative.

It has always been there, but it seems nobody paid attention to it. And so far it has proven successful in video and audio calls, where the data in the form of video files and audio files travels via a network, interacts with a database, and then gets relayed further. But all this has changed now, because new technology uses a state of the art program to facilitate calls, without any technical dependency on databases.

Now they are working on the main problem i.e. when information is relayed and this information needs to stay somewhere so that the target user can access it at his/her convenience.  There is a need for the database to store this information which at a later stage, based on users convenience can be accessed by him/her. For example : Voice message, Audio message, Text message, Image file, Passwords, or access authentication process etc. etc. All these need a database.

This company in 2075 is going to change all this. And it is beginning to worry all the old school players of the game, because they have always followed a conventional approach to innovation. Whereas this company likes taking a disruptive approach where innovation is at the forefront and talent is respected. And it is a result of this philosophy that this company is growing and gaining absolute market dominance. Because expecting a network to work and fulfil all tasks accurately without a database is unheard of. It is like expecting humans to survive without oxygen.

Anyway, back to the network that no longer needs a database. And these network scientists and database experts have found a solution that relies only on the network for everything. And it is a game changing disruption that is almost everywhere in 2075. And everyone in 2075 is talking about it. Because it will create a new order of computing with a network that exists, yet it does not exist anywhere, because there is no database.

And they first want to try it on the search engine that is still a search giant in 2075: Google. 

Because this is a company that relies heavily on databases. Where a query is entered as a search term by the user and then based on different databases, Google derives and sorts answers to this query via different sources and presents it to the end user via the front end. Appears to be like magic, but it is a simple interaction of a query with a database of every information, which is stacked in a certain order so that it is easier for Google to locate an answer/output based on highest relevancy factors, and then publish it as an answer to the query in its SERPs ( search engine result pages )

But, Google too is working on making this query based answer location process quicker, by placing information in stacks. But they are still struggling to define a stack of information that will be absolute and self aware; and push information instantaneously based on the query. Without having to guess. Which it does as of now, when it says:

All these suggest at accuracy that is learning to become perfect. And it shall someday. However, in 2075, it is the idle case for checking the plausibility of creating a computational world without using a typical database of 2023, if not doing away with the database completely.

However, for companies like Apple, Samsung, securing video calling and audio calling by completely moving away from their dependency on databases is a step that they ought to take, and in 2075, they are getting closer to achieving this milestone.

And many companies favour this trend, because as networks become wider, they also become prone to being hacked, and with self aware machines gaining a higher IQ of self realisation, the manipulation of databases is posing as one of the major threats, and if humans are to avoid a network crash of global proportion leading to complete information blackout, then moving away from conventional databases is a must. It is almost like stealing someone's memories, once you steal a person's memories, he/she can be just any human being. It is the same with databases and networks, you wipe out the information from a database, everything is lost forever. 

Noah’s ark did not save humans from the flood, but it saved humanity from becoming extinct.

And as information overload increases and keeps getting complex, there will be a flood of information someday, which the databases can definitely manage. But imagine a global calamity where all data centres are destroyed. Then what shall we do? 

We shall be pushed into dark ages. Because we may build the network again but without its memory i.e. database, it will be as good as a cable, and nothing else.

But in 2075, this company is working on developing a solution that will offer a Noah’s ark like rescue to the companies and networks that derive their intelligence from databases. And it strongly believes “He who has no inclination to learn more will be very apt to think that he knows enough!” 

But in 2075, as self aware machines are becoming more intelligent, human species need to understand that they do not know enough, and to keep on learning is the only way forward, if we are not to be dominated by these machines someday. And with networks becoming complex and AI becoming highly intuitive, relying on conventional databases will be like owning the luggage of antiquity. And it certainly will be an ill-chosen path where being hacked is the only possibility.

Can we afford such a possibility? I do not think so. Because human evolution is complex and takes millions of years to express itself in the form of traits and behaviours.

However, this company is set to take the world of computing by storm in 2075, because it is working on many state of the art solutions. Not only eliminating the need for databases, it is also working on phones and computers that will redefine the phrase “Intelligent Machines!” And their confidence arises from one fact, “Virtue has many preachers, but few martyrs.” And if innovation and advanced scientific thinking are the virtues of this company in 2075, it is only because it is willing to be a martyr i.e. the ultimate risk taker in technology, and try bold ideas, that redefine and challenge the known standards.

And seeking inspiration from this disruptive technology company of 2075, I wrote my science fiction novel that also talks about bold ideas, innovation, human evolution at physical and emotional level, and how humans will experience love in 2075, and much much more. It is an intense science fiction romance. Where love is a feeling you shall experience and you will certainly say, “They loved in 2075!”

It is not just a science fiction novel, it is an experience, it is an interaction of two hearts: that of the book in the form of its appealing story and you as the reader, who has the heart to feel the authenticity of a quintessential moment of romance. And above all, it is a romance scifi of perfectly balanced passions and a purposeful quest. And passions should be well balanced, because passions are like fire, useful in a thousand ways and dangerous only in one, through their excess.
