Science fiction- The burnt out stars

#Sciencefiction- The burnt out stars

All, all stars have burnt away. The universe is a dim place, there is nothing. Although there is everything except light.

Because all stars have burnt away!

Now it is a vast space of emptiness where every element that generates the forces of the universe exist, but with stars dead, and just a few of them still burning; gravity is concentrated in a few regions. There is still some light and the feeling that moments still exist, has been reduced to a mere sensation and nothing else. Because time has lost the purpose for which it was conceived by the universe.

The universe is dying, but not completely dead yet, not completely dead. However, it is no longer the place it used to be, it is the graveyard of stars and everything else that sustained the energy of the universe needed to keep it in a constant state of generating new stars and other building blocks needed for the continuity of the universe.

In the regions where a few remaining stars are still burning, a civilisation from some unknown galaxy has arrived to derive energy from these last and dying stars. Luckily for them, as the universe entered its dying stage, the gravity began expanding and it did not enter into perpetual contraction. As it expanded everything in the Universe fell apart. Transforming the once orderly universe into an unmethodical mess.

One could compare it with a classroom where every student is busy studying his/her own favourite subject, and the teacher who has been assigned the class, has no idea about what they are doing or what their doubts are. So, they do what they please and ignore the presence of the teacher who is not qualified to address their questions. The teacher is still there but his role is insignificant because his presence is inconsequential to what the students seek in terms of knowledge. Therefore, the classroom enters into a state of disarray and total pandemonium, where every student now thinks that he/she is the teacher of the class. Leading to absolute mayhem and clash of ideas, thoughts, almost every aspect related with the procedure to gain knowledge has been reduced to acts of mockery and clashes. There is only one word that can explain this classroom better, “Rumpus!” You can easily comprehend the rest.

Similarly, if universe were a big classroom with following students:

  • Planets

  • Meteors

  • Moons

  • Stars

  • etc.

And the gravity was the qualified teacher to keep this classroom in order and maintain cosmic discipline.

Without gravity the universe would transform into a classroom having entered the state of absolute rumpus!

There is one rudimentary reason to support this claim.

With all the stars dead, gravity lost its objective because it lost its balanced web of gravitational networks. That now lies scattered around the universe like gravitational waves that are dying and being pulled and pushed in all directions.

All the planets and other celestial bodies, whose movements depend largely on their placement around these stars, also managed to large extent by black holes, now begin to assume behaviour similar to these students, where every celestial body, now free from the restraining and guiding force of gravity begin to dash against one another and as a result the obvious transpires. The universe loses its balance, and everything begins to fall apart.

Even the black holes that feed on celestial bodies have now turned into huge spheres of gravity and it is attracting weaker networks of gravity to form new giants with immense mass. They will be the deciding forces as the universe expands uncontrollably.

And this civilisation has on purpose navigated the spaceship into the region where few stars are still burning and gravity still exists. But it will not last for too long because these last remaining stars will burn away in a few 100 years from now.

Their spaceship somehow manages to navigate into a region where gravity is neither too high nor too low. It is just enough to help their spaceship to land on one of the remaining dead planets in this star system, and they plan to stay there for a few years, until they find a way to escape from this dying universe.

Many would think there is no way to escape from a dying universe, but the fact is there is a way. As long as gravity adopts expansion mode and not contraction mode. Because in case of contraction, everything that exists in the universe will get bundled into one mega sized lump of matter, and as gravity acts upon it from every side, it will get crunched into a tiny spec of matter. Very minute and extremely small, but every element that supports life and is needed to form the universe will lie trapped in this single and tiny particle.

That is locked from all sides by an immense force of gravity. And as gravity acts upon it constantly, and attains a crescendo like compactness, the composite particle raptures, releasing endless energy that is needed for the genesis of everything. But getting trapped in this particle, would be like placing a walnut between a centrifugal compressor exerting force >18000 psi or 124 MPa. Can you imagine what will become of this walnut?

Now imagine a spaceship and all life forms, getting locked in a centrifugal compressor capable of exerting force that is greater than 1 to the power of infinity. Can you fathom what will become of any life form that is being acted upon by so much pressure from all directions.

It will be like a mosquito being squashed under the giant foot of a fully grown elephant. And in this case the elephant is as big as 10 million elephants. Poor mosquito!

This is one of the reasons that this civilisation is trying to resolve the inverse case of this scenario. Endless expansion and not infinite contraction.

Because a universe that is in a constant state of expansion will be like entering into a compressor where an infinite amount of pressure is not acting inwards, but outwards. And in this case anything that exists, whether living or non living will be torn apart. Almost like a rubber band that is being pulled from both ends. After constant pulling it will reach a point where it will lose its elasticity and break apart. This is what the civilisation in this last star system is trying to avoid. And they believe it is possible.

In case of contraction the force of gravity is so violent and intense that escaping it is impossible. But escaping from a universe where everything is expanding, the scientists in this civilisation believe, it is possible to survive.

And right now they are on this unknown planet trying to find out how.

Their spaceship settles on the dead planet and with it the last and only left humans on board the spaceship begin extracting energy from the dying stars by sending out aerial, circular rotors that trap the energy of stars and generate surplus charge that gets stored in photon based batteries. Where each battery is able to store enough charge that will help this civilisation to survive for 25 years. That is, if they have just one fully charged battery. And they have thousands of them, and all are being charged in this new star system.

Now with these battery charging hubs placed at their right locations, the senior scientists begin to tackle the main problem. How to escape getting trapped in a continuously expanding universe?

They look at the universe surrounding this last star system, that is also drifting in this huge universe spreading out in all directions. But the outer ring of gravity in this star system is offering some resistance. However, as its stars get absorbed by this expanding universe it is losing its primary network of gravity and in 100 or 150 years this star system will lose all its fundamental gravity because all the stars would have either burnt out or got sucked into the expanding universe.

And this civilisation is desperate to avoid a fate similar to these dying stars.

Their super sensitive and high range cameras feed their main visual screens, offering them constant feed of the universe that exists outside this star system. And these cameras are hosted on AI driven probes that run instant calculations and push the cameras inwards, so that they do not get pulled into the drag of the expanding universe.

From the visual feed offered by these cameras, the scientists of this civilisation observe that everything appears to be in a rush to go somewhere. And this somewhere happened to be everywhere, in all directions.

A scene similar to high school kids running out of their classes at the end of the day, and all of them hastily running in all directions: Pushing, tripping, colliding, pulling without caring about the consequences. Typical children at the end of a long school day, trying to run where they please.

And it was then, one of them zoomed in on a few visuals, and she asked one of the assistants to freeze a few visual screens. He obliged and she asked him to isolate all objects drifting in this mad rush, based on size and mass.

The assistant did so and came up with the following observations:

  1. Very large objects

  2. Large objects

  3. Medium sized objects

  4. Small objects

  5. Very small objects

  6. dust

And there it was! A moment of salvation or should I say an act of God in the form of scientific genius.

She instantly felt there was a scheme in all this chaos too. It was like visiting a mental asylum.

When you go there you find total disorder, a state of absolute disorderliness and confusion.

But to the doctor who treats these mentally incompetent patients there is a lot of order, because he knows exactly what X patient is doing and why he/she is doing it. And based on his/her study of the patient, the doctor knows what he/she will do next. Though there will be a few exceptional  deviations.

And according to her analysis in the case of the universe that was experiencing absolute expansion, one could compare it with a vast asylum of celestial bodies with total disorder everywhere and in every form.

But on careful observation one could find order in this total state of chaos too.

So, she asks the assistant to record the data for 6 months and then meet her. In the meantime she looks at other data sets and other details too.

Now, they have been here for almost a year and she decides to observe the data derived from the chaotic universe outside the star system where they are currently stationed.

And here is what she found.

  • Celestial bodies which were enormous in size, were moving but not towards anything, but objects smaller than them were moving towards them.

  • They were like the racing participants who were running fast and in the front, as if they were in haste to reach a finish line. And they were the only causes of cosmic pileup. And whenever these pileups took place, they created highways of gravity or mere lanes of gravity. Depending upon the size of the object that got formed due to the pileup. It also acted as a disrupter of gravity. When mega objects got created due to these pileups new highways of gravity got created, and when two giants collided, the existing highways of gravity disintegrated. And blackholes that were now behaving as spheres and not holes, also played a role in this mess of mega proportions. And this was a great observation!

  • When cosmic pile up happened, the gravity shifted, especially in the regions where these mega pileups took place

  • It was the same with other objects too. Sometimes, many smaller objects simply due to the law of probability would combine and form mega giants  that now were ready to leave behind the front runners; and due to their enormous mass, they also influenced the spheres of black holes. When this happened gravity shifted like the fire whip of Zeus. A whip of gravity that had its free end/tip somewhere in the middle and then stretched all the way till it reached the spot where it now competed with the top participants in this cosmic race of giants.

  • However, there was something that proved God’s genius. Because God never creates disorder.

According to Muslims, God likes order; and a lot of order across every realm, and in human lives too. And there was an order here too!

( It is the same with Christianity and old Hindu scriptures that I have read, they too refer to order in everything and everywhere. )

So what is this order?

Muslims believe when you die you go to Paradise or Hell, depending upon one's deeds. That is the end because you enter the realm of Gods.

Christians believe almost the same, only that you find salvation through Lord Jesus Christ PBU.

But, Hindu scriptures say something very interesting and quite different. According to them, death is a new beginning and not the end. That is why Hindus believe in rebirth. And when the universe entered its chaotic state, it entered its end ( death ) but going by Hindu scriptures it was the beginning of something unknown as well.

( But Christianity too supports this belief in different forms. The resurrection or the reappearance of Lord Jesus Christ after His crucifixion PBU.

And Muslims too support this theory not in the form of rebirth though. They refer to Paradise as the place where a person of faith and good deeds is reborn again. So do you see the connection! )

Here is how.

Any race, whether it is a short distance race or a marathon. It cannot continue forever, it needs to have an end, a finish line. Because no line can travel forever, no circle can expand forever.

( Many experts refer to computational irreducibility as necessary evil associated with super intelligent computational algorithms. Which is very correct and understandable as well. Because after a while as the algorithm makes intelligent assessments/decisions based on data that keeps getting larger, it is obvious it will enter into a stage where it will be subjected to the laws of computational irreducibility. I believe Mr. Stephen Wolfram is a genius when it comes to computational irreducibility. Because he has devoted 40 years of his life studying all possibilities associated with it. And it was based on his work I realised and agreed, computational irreducibility cannot be controlled. Although, he believes there are ways to check it and I completely agree with him there too.

However, it is not applicable on anything in the Universe. It somehow checks every factor of irreducibility. According to me it does so with the help of evolution, a very slow process that checks all possibilities, and only retains the best traits/processes/species and filters out the error causing elements.

And let us not forget that the universe has existed for billions of years. So, I have every reason to believe, that initially it too must have suffered from factors of irreducibility, but as time passed by, it learned how to control them, because it entered a stable state. If it would not have been so, there would be no orbits in our solar system etc. etc.

If I take, say : 0 and 1. I can form endless and irreducible combinations with them. But the universe does not work like that. If it were so, there would be no gravity, and gravity cannot stretch forever and everywhere. Also, in computer #science when we began writing complex programs we felt the need to invent spyware. And in the universe the spyware is gravity, it kicks into action whenever it feels a program is about to enter an irreducible computational state, where it will now execute actions that will only lead to chaos.

Even in the humans and bodies of animals, this factor of irreducibility is managed by genes.

Why don't animals develop tails that can grow forever? What trims their tails or stops their growth? And here is the most exciting part. If you look at snow leopards in the Himalayas, they have thick and long tails. Why? Long tails help them maintain the highest form of balance when they run at extremely high speeds on craggy rocks. But in the case of a hippopotamus the same tail is very small, but fat. It looks like a lump of fat. It serves a different purpose in case of hippopotamus. Hippopotamus uses this fat tail to splatter dung in the water.

So, the universe does not support computational irreducibility, because then it will create monsters that even Gods cannot control. That is why I said, God = Order and scheme. And let us not confuse infinity with irreducibility, they are two different things. There can be infinity in irreducibility, but there is no irreducibility in infinity. We can take this up in my next topic.)

Similarly in case of this cosmic run off, when major and mega sized objects will be running in the front, and they would have attracted most of the smaller objects, the main tug will take place between them. How many of them will be involved in this tug can be calculated too.

If we can identify the number of all galaxies, their average composition in terms of planets, stars etc. And then depending upon the size of every galaxy, it can be assessed which regions in the universe will enter the first cycle of this cosmic run off and which ones will enter towards the end.

And with this knowledge, if a civilisation can place itself in a galaxy that will experience this runoff in the end, it will gain one major advantage. That of time and a lot of time, to develop enough resources in order to overcome the cosmic runoff.

  • Anyway, now the competition between the major and leading bodies caught in extreme forces of gravity will decide the final state of the universe. Because as these giant bodies reach the edge of the universe- A zone from where the boundary of nothingness, emptiness begins, the gravity will be nullified and these mega bodies will stabilise. Now acted upon by their own gravities. Where they will either lead to a lot of disruption or a state I would call, gravitational settlement, that will allow all these giants to stabilise in their orbits of gravity.

( In Greek Mythology, they represent the Dark Gods as demons surrounded by mega sized round objects and these gods gaze into emptiness. Again, an inkling pointing at the end of the Universe )

  • Similarly, in case of cosmic expansion, these mega objects will be formed, and whoever manages to get there with enough energy to survive in the emptiness, will witness the beginning of a new universe.

She studies this data and evaluates these observations, and their supercomputers develop a new navigation map.

Based on these rising and falling whips of gravity, the system easily identified the location and course of these super-sized objects, and it could also plot pathways that were free from any influence of these varying whips of gravity.

And if their spaceship could enter these pathways, it would manage to reach the end of the universe along with the mega sized objects that will get formed there. And escaping that gravity, at that edge of the universe, will be an act of extreme scientific innovation.

And there are two options available at that point too. And that is when their nuclear batteries and nuclear missiles will do the job of God’s touch.

As the spaceship begins to enter the edge of the Universe it will have to launch nuclear missiles that will obliterate and shatter these last remaining giants, trace bearers of the universe that once existed. And as they begin to shatter, the gravity will be dispersed and it will lose its force.

( Once again, Islamic, Hindu and Christian scriptures point to unprecedented destruction, nuclear warheads can cause. And that is why they refrain humans from using them callously. Because they are so powerful that they can redefine the structure of the universe. )

And it is at this moment, the spaceship will enter the zone called nothingness and remain there until the universe redevelops, or if they have what it takes to be really kind and generous, they can be the harbingers of a bigger and a reverberating Big Bang!

Everyone who was present during her presentation agreed with her and they were immensely impressed, because it made complete sense. And they believed now, that there is order in chaos, there is order in everything, because God dislikes anything and everything without orderliness.

So, they spend another year on the planet and locate the path that was free from these rising and falling whips of gravity and they travel towards the edge of the universe. As they arrived at its final edge from where the emptiness commenced, they launched nuclear missiles at the final assembly of giant sized objects and watched them shatter apart from a safe distance. As gravity lost its intensity, they travelled into the nothingness.

Now it is their choice whether they want to wait and watch the creation of the new universe or they want to be the creators of the new universe?

Humanity will have to make this decision, and they have infinite time to think about it. Because in the emptiness of space the spaceship can remain suspended forever without using any form of energy, and this civilisation has mastered the art of creating food from single cells. With this technology they can survive in the emptiness for infinity.

But then, that is against the true human nature and not in cohesion with the genes embedded in us by the supreme Gods. Being curious and born with an insatiable appetite for knowledge, I believe they will create one themselves. I am sure they will!

Because they have reached the end of the universe that was associated with the realm in which they existed, and the universe is made up of 7 realms. And it can never happen that all realms will end simultaneously. When a few end new ones get created. Because Gods too exist in one of the realms and through some magical particle they can be present in every realm too. Correct?

They want us to seek and achieve a state that is restful like a flower and without any conflict. And when we achieve this state, maybe, the realm of Gods will reveal its real wonder to us. The wonder of magical particles that only exist in their realm.

And if you want to know more about how humans will exist and deal with future Earth and the universe that will exist in 2075, you will find the #scifi novel, They Loved in 2075, very interesting.

It is a romance #scifi novel, where two lovers want to save the dying planet and save humans from experiencing a runoff of different nature. A complete emotional runoff. Where feelings like love are dying because humans, due to their excessive interaction with self awareness and human-like machines are losing their basic traits necessary for humans to develop feelings like: love, empathy, kindness, passion, vitality, vigour etc.

To know if they are able to save the planet and are able to love each other, please read the #sciencefiction novel, They Loved in 2075.

I know best selling #scifibooks are wonderful to interact with, but, They Loved in 2075, is wonderfully stimulating for scifi readers who want to read something new and brave.
