Science fiction of everything

Quoting Einstein:

God is subtle but He is not malicious.

Einstein further elucidated this as follows:

Nature conceals her mystery by means of her essential grandeur, not by her cunning.

( Die Natur verbirgt ihr Geheimnis durch die Erhabenheit ihres Wesens, aber nich durch List ) 

And not attempting to elaborate on this further, will be a complete act of literary impoliteness and I do not want to be accused of it. Not at all!

If nature were cunning, there shall be no uniformity or symmetry that spreads across the cosmos and holds everything in place and in right order. Then gravity would have acted as a brutal and savage force that likes hammering everything with a feeling of cosmic grudge, where selection of the victim is done based on not a mathematical symmetry, but by whims and fancies of the universe that likes being cunning. 

But it is not like this at all. Nature, that refers to the entire universe in this case, does apply logical means to facilitate the proceedings and working of this infinite universe. And the symmetry reveals itself in several forms : genes, gravity, polarity, charges, reactions, expansion, contraction, creation, destruction, beginning and the end. There is symmetry in everything, but it is our inability to find a unified theory, that is able to deal with every aspect of this symmetry, not just time, light and gravity alone. Because without the universe there shall be no gravity, without gravity time will lose its value, and without time, there is no need for light, because then, whether it is an eternal state of darkness or endless light; it shall not matter. 

Although Einstein spent the rest of his life, almost 40 years, to find this unified theory, by means of which one could understand the complete grandeur of nature. His intellectual courage could not deal with it any further than a theory that manages to capture just an iota of Quantum Mechanics. 

Where according to me, lie the clues of unified theory, that will define everything about the universe.  But Quantum mechanics is not an easy concept or a theory to deal with. Because understanding it would mean, at least understanding a finite part of the mind of God. But the finite part shall be infinite in terms of progressing towards a theory that will evolve like sets of logics, stacked on top of one another, to construct the ultimate theory, The theory of everything.

And I feel understanding Gravity in its totality, when it comes to its influences on the workings of the Universe, should be our first right step into knowing the mind of God. Because gravity, when too dense, can even restrain Titans into a frozen state of inaction. It possesses the force to belittle anything. And it is good that it is so, otherwise there will be mayhem across the Universe. It is gravity alone that is placed as the true guardian preventing the world from this chaotic state.

This is a force worthy of a lot of respect. Because it is the sculptor of the Universe. With the finesse of Mr. Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni ( famous as Michelangelo )  and the aesthetic resonance of Mr. Gustav Klimt. 

But how does it do it and why is it so complex?

Well the answer is simple. It is like human beings, we have the same basic physical appearance yet no two men or women look the same. With twins being a rare exception. Yet if we look closely at them, they too would have noticeable differences. For many centuries we all believed it was so because it was meant to be so. But we did not realise that Nature conceals her mystery by means of her essential grandeur, not by her cunning. 

This was the main point we had been ignoring for many centuries. Because we were apes, still climbing the ladder of intellectual supremacy. Which we achieved to some extent when we discovered the wonder of GENES. In any life-form genes play a vital role in their lives because they define how the “will of chance” will influence them.

But the universe, which is a huge concentration of forces at work, has no gene to define the workings of these forces. 

Or maybe there is!

In the case of the universe, its genetic code lies in its patterns. And if we look at the universe it is a large array of patterns. I am using the word “large” with array, and refraining from using the word infinite, because the universe that is infinite comprises finite sets of universes, and these finite sets of universes have patterns that are always steady and stay constant. 

And when we attempt to develop unified theory, we usually tend to look at a few metrics, not all which offer the universe the makeup that it wears. The makeup of patterns. 

And what are these patterns?

• Patterns of gravity

• Patterns of time

• Patterns of light

• Patterns of polarity

( There may be more patterns, but these are the ones that come to my mind, that is a layman in physics ) But when it comes to curiosity, thank God apple fell on Mr. Isaac Newton’s head, had destiny chosen me, you would have to wait for many years. But I would not have failed you, that I am certain. Anyway, without wandering any further with the honorary vice called little bluff in the cocktail of praise, blended with good intentions. Let me stick to the main topic.

Followed by subsets of these patterns, for example:

Patterns of Polarity would also include following subsets

• Magnetism

• Particle behaviour

• Influence of magnetism on gravity

• Concentration of mass

• Interaction between metals/elements

• Influences of different charges and fields

• Etc. etc.

When we work on these patterns like a periodic table, we will be able to come very close, rather extremely close to knowing the Mind of not God, but “the God.”

It is right there, but we have been ignoring it. Sometimes, theories of physics experts and mathematicians need a common sense based idea to plot the applicability of their equations or theories. And when we develop something of this scale, we would naturally need all theories from different branches of science i.e. physics, mathematics, chemistry etc. etc. to derive that combined theory that will make humans the masters of the universe. Where they can deal with its ambiguity with the certainty as good as, offered by the Periodic Table when defining elements and their nature.

I am referring to the Periodic Table because the universe is not only about time, gravity and light, there are other principle sets, with many subsets, that are responsible for creating the Universe and assigning to it, its true instincts.

Moreover, there are galaxies, there are planets, there are spaces where there is nothing, there are waves, there are particles, there is so much, and unless we place it in an order similar to periodic table, we shall always fail to find that unified theory. The theory of everything.

And Artificial Intelligence based modules, with stacks of logical triggers and values can definitely be a great tool to develop this table, the table that contains the functioning of the universe in its completeness of sets and subsets of all its patterns.

For example

Imagine a sub module of this AI based table called: Patterns of Universe

Patterns of Time

• We will have to apply theory of relativity

• Then Newton’s laws of gravity

• Then when it comes to gravity we will have to apply theories that define mass and density

• Followed by particle behaviour

And so on……….

Finally we will get an output that defines time in its completeness across the universe.

But here is a moment of paradox. In physics I call it reaching a logical limit and then facing a complete blackout.

Let us not forget, I said, “mapping the patterns of the Universe.” And we are not talking about the Milky Way alone, we need to do the same with other galaxies too.

But even if we use the latest technology of the James Webb Telescope, this cannot be achieved. So to escape this Paradox, we first need to map our galaxy, once we achieve that, we can easily spot habitable zones in this galaxy, or planets which by the Hand of Man/Woman, can be terraformed to be habitable. Then as we reach the edges of this galaxy, we shall have the technology and proximity, to know the next logic of this grand mapping pattern of the Universe.

Well, many of you reading this blog post, maybe already thinking, either this person is reading too much, drinking too much, or he is in deep love with some beautiful woman. Well let me confess: Reading too much is valid, in love with a beautiful woman is very true. But the drinking part needs some clarity. I am drinking moderately, of course.  But tea and water mostly. So that shall offer some consolation to the thinking man/woman, who thinks a drinking man/woman is not a thinking man. 

As such they say alcohol serves three basic purposes: Stimulant, Depressant and Anodyne.

And right now, the thought that the patterns of the Universe can be plotted like a periodic table, is the topic and let us tackle it at this moment.

And we should not ignore Dark Energy or Dark Matter, when we are plotting the patterns of the universe. It can be the greatest and one of the grandest projects ever undertaken by humankind. But it is the only way to know the mind of God ( that you shall never ever dare to challenge ) because God’s table of patterns even covers infinity. And the wisdom lies in knowing that the one with finite virtues should not challenge something with the wisdom of infinity. The true mind of God. So, this table of patterns, shall also test our ability to deal with a lot of power and knowledge. And decide, if we are worthy of becoming intergalactic species at all.

Back to the Dark Matter.

You really want to know? 

Well, let us give it a shot then. Afterall it is just a blog post, and nobody would hold me guilty of committing a treason in the bohemian world of leading astrophysicists, and literati of the world, because I am just a man with the mind of a lay man, but the curiosity of infinity.

Therefore let common sense prevail again.

When you develop the table that maps the patterns of the universe, and we ( because you will need my help, thus we ) have developed a few special maps that detect certain values and parameters in the table, these values and observations, based on my knowledge, will vary. Not only that, few variances will also coincide in different parts of the table ( meaning they will have common sets and subsets ) . You plot this on the table of patterns and you shall know Dark Energy. But it will be a differential value between these similarities and variances.

What will these values be? Let me keep that to myself for now. Otherwise you will think this person is on literary high today. Which I have been experiencing in doses. Right from my childhood. Too curious I guess.

Now that you know about dark Matter.

At this stage, the AI module will have to add a new layer of logic, which can only be determined based on the previous and already working logics. And there shall be your theory that defines everything about the Universe, which is known by many, and aptly so, the theory of Everything.

Appears to be very easy. But trust me, defining the logical parameters and coordinating with worldwide space observatories, collecting that data, assigning all known theories of astrophysics and other fields of science, will be highly labor intensive, and would need coordination of scientific minds at global scale. Something never attempted before. And plotting this table without these essentials will be impossible.

At this stage, humans may have to change the way the Nobel prize is awarded. Right now it is conferred on individuals representing certain countries. 

But at this stage, it will be recognising combined efforts of scientists and they shall represent humanity. That is what makes scientists, artists, poets, philosophers, very unique. They belong to all. Only in this sense, otherwise they belong to their families, friends, and the one they love. Ah, too much humour today!

On a serious note. It is important as we achieve the highest advancements in science and technology, that we include scientists, philosophers, writers, in political decision making. Without achieving this, we will always be bound to the gravity of the Earth, and we shall be no greater than being the petty Earthlings. Because scientists think about consequences and causes, whereas politicians by virtue of their professional portfolio and their galaxy of obligations, have to make decisions where singularity always prevails. But in a world that wants to become intergalactic, we will have to aim at becoming more tolerant towards other cultures and develop policies where few global targets in the field of scientific advancements are defined on a long term project basis. 

For example, in 20 years humans will set up colonies on say X planet etc. etc. 

It cannot be achieved without collaboration. Because projects of this grandeur and epic scale, need a lot of resources: intelligence, hardware, software, manpower, most important of all, funding. And it is impossible for one country, no matter how rich or advanced, to mobilise all these resources. It is how I see us, humans, evolving in the years ahead.

No doubt there will be impediments in achieving this level of coordination and global amity. But it is possible, and we would not know, as long as we do not try.

But, developing the Table that plots all patterns of the universe is motivation enough, to at least persuade a few nations that believe in science and technology and its advancement. To invest in such initiatives. 

And UAE and other Arab nations whose oil based economy is shrinking should be the leaders in investing in projects of this nature. Because in future, these projects will lead to economic gains as well. 

For developing a new breed of quantum computers, we need a lot of Gold. And mining other planets will be the only way to acquire so much gold and other rare metals that are essential for super conduction, and not only quantum computers. And investing in these projects will pave the way for stabilising economies of those countries whose economies are faltering due to the shift in use of fossil fuels.

I am from India, and where do I see my nation? I see it becoming an integral part of the supply chain of modern technological marvels humanity will undertake in the future, when quantum processing will be the new reality. But, to be a part of this supply chain of the future, it will need the right infrastructure, right political will, and most important of all, social amity clubbed with women empowerment. Then certainly this great nation will play a defining role when it comes to being a part of this global community of men and women trying to understand the mind of God. 

And developing the mind as pure as that of a child will be the first step in this direction for the grown up humans, invested in pursuing this grand and infinite mind of God. 

That is why I believe for many, myself included, the holy pilgrimage of their mind, shall always take them to CERN in Switzerland. Perhaps it is the first step in this direction, because the scientific coordination at CERN is exemplary and it was based on this knowledge that I actually wrote this blog post. 

Otherwise, I would not have bothered to write a blog post as detailed as this one.

And in the science fiction novel, They Loved in 2075, the protagonist, Saabir, is in love with a very beautiful woman, but at times she fails to express her emotions, and these moments of emotional numbness, create an emotional climax that is irresistible for any human being reading this science fiction novel set in 2075. Because emotional numbness is the worst form of poverty a human being can experience in any year and anywhere. But in 2075, or maybe by 2050, it will be at its peak and humans will be dealing with a new threat to their existence.

Explore the science fiction novel, They Loved in 2075, and journey into a world of romance, highly advanced self aware machines, mutations, extreme global warming, and know whether or not humans will choose to marry synthetic men and women in future.
