A house on the edge of the highway, puts up a masquerading display of architectural eminence with aesthetics similar to the unsurpassable command of Mr. Gustav Klimt over his craft- The art of knowing where to use which colour. And I personally believe he drew human bodies with an unbelievable accuracy by employing artistic deliberation to maintain slight contrast between the reality and the subject in the painting. That otherwise he could paint with brilliance that even exceeded the reality. 

But he purposefully maintained mild contrast between reality and his artistic masterpieces.  Because a great artist always prefers that his/her piece of art is experienced and appreciated as a creation of human excellence in art; and not as a creation that enters into a deliberate competition with reality. Then art loses its appeal, because it forces the viewer to draw parallels between the two.

Whereas a true creation of art makes the distinctions between art and reality obvious, thus allowing the viewer to enjoy art and understand it without being drawn into a conflict between the art and and the reality it portrays.

And in 2075, humans have evolved to invest in architecture that does not tend to exploit nature and natural resources, but it blends with it, leading to sustainable architectural designs, wherefrom nature and the ecosystem that supports human life is directly benefitted. This is architecture in 2075 that aims at achieving a state of seamless coexistence with its ecosystem. 

However, it is not so in all parts of the Globe. In many parts of the globe, architecture along with advancements in science and technology are like someone trying to create an art form with a combined artistic essence of Mr. Gustav Klimt, Mr. Edvard Munch and Mr. Picasso. One can only imagine what that piece of art would look like. It will represent artistic insufficiency; that gets organically created due to artistic disharmony. Because it is important to allow any art form or style to grow at an individual level, rather than letting it grow in indistinct forms of style. Where nothing is clear.

It creates the scenario of constant struggle, where Mr. Klimt is investing his best efforts to depict his style, followed by Mr. Munch who is constantly trying to make his style overpower Mr. Klimt's style, and then enters Mr. Picasso who is attempting to make the entire painting to be a dominant depiction of his own style. As a result of this, it turns into a sort of visual altercation between these different styles. Therefore, the final picture represents nobody and nothing at all. It is colour spread everywhere with no objective.

And in 2075, many parts of the Globe are plagued by similar predicaments, upending the balance of the Earth's ecosystem. Leading to unprecedented rise in Global Warming and erratic Climate Changes.

If you are guessing who are the victims? The answer is simple. All!

The world in 2075 offers the brilliance of Mr. Gustav Klimt like painting, but when you observe it minutely, you see the real picture: A painting where every artist is trying to make his/her style or art form dominate the perspective of visual attention. As a result the painting fails to impress or acquire any distinct style.

In 2075, China is an economic power house, followed by India, the USA, Germany and many other countries from the EU. And Japan is not doing poorly at all. Few African countries are growing as well. Countries in the Gulf region are investing in new sectors to compensate for the losses incurred due to the Global transition towards using eco friendly fuel alternatives.

This economic stability has been induced on purpose, with intention to offer economic strength to these countries so that they could bring about positive changes as far as Global Warming and Climate are concerned. The intention seems nobel but the ground reality narrates a different story. A total contrast, largely due to mismanagement, poor delegation, incorrect prioritisation, wayward awareness campaigns that still fail to make people in many countries realise that they have an important role to play in managing Climate Change and Global Warming.

Most important of all, misinterpretation of data has led to global panic and an undercurrent of mayhem like situation, which if not addressed in time, would result in revolt. Where the economic order will be completely disrupted and the world will be thrown into chaos. Moreover, with ten fold increase in power consumption due to excessive use of smart gadgets and technology, humans are facing emotional crisis, and this is redefining every aspect of human endeavour at personal, social, official, spiritual, economic and other levels too.

The direct psychological impact of this technological dominance is “careless and insensitive attitude” developing among humans, who mostly interact with machines, whose conversational objective, even though subjective by design, always tends to acquire an objective based mode, thus killing the social aspect of human conversations.

Where light talk or casual talk is not a waste of time, but it is a way the human mind learns not to be mechanical and insensitive. With less exposure to these conversational formats, human mind is adapting in new ways, and for many sensitive and well educated minds in 2075, this has become a cause of the major worry.

Because they know “genetics is what adds arrows to the sheath, but it is the environment ( social, economic, physical etc. ) that actually shoots the arrow.”

And when it comes to this, humans are shooting arrows in wrong directions, and that too when there is better economic stability, compared to 2023. But the world in 2075, due to these new and extensive insensitivities is displaying behavioural trends which make them social renegades with one fundamental trademark, “We do not care." They even fall in love with opposite/same gender humanoids ( based on individual preferences ) and most of the humans tend to live in these relationships for few weeks and replace the humanoid with a superior version that comes with enhanced human like palpable beauty, conversational ability, pleasure offering sensors, ability to participate in humour based situations, ability to engage in day to day chores like a real human being. And this has caused a decline in human emotion, that is now breeding human insensitivity or emotional sterility at a large scale. 

The direct result of this is the rise of new economy which is getting bigger and growing exorbitantly against the graph of traditional economy, where few human values are still upheld.

This new economy that I would call “insensitive economy” has one objective alone, make money, get rich, and finally leave the planet Earth one day. This new economy majorly invests in technology that creates human like interfaces at all levels, and in many cases these interfaces are far advanced. But, as they are managed via algorithms, most of these software tend to generate errors, which human observation would usually take into account and make corrections. This shift took place in 2050, when many technology experts started believing that their programs are smart enough to operate without human intervention. And today, it is an economy that exceeds every other economy because it generates huge profit. 

But as I mentioned above, there are many intelligent and sensitive people who think it is a major problem and it could put human species at risk. Not that the humans as species will become extinct, but the core fabric of their emotional interactions will evolve to the extent that they will be as good as cattle. Enraged easily and sometimes reacting in ways too cold!

As a species of sensitive beings, this would be the cause of the end of human goodness, and progress that seeks scientific advancements keeping the delicate balance of Universe in mind. To be replaced by a new species of human beings who are still sensitive or charitable, but their is always an objective or hidden agenda tied to it.

And with demand in self aware machines growing, humans are now exploring new planets or regions in the Universe that they can exploit for mining rare metals. Its direct outcome being the increase in human footprint, as far as devastation at the scale of the universe, and not restricted to just the Earth is concerned. 

Now it is at a stage where it has become almost uncontrollable!

And there are chances that humans will script the story of their own end. Because, there is something that makes me believe the universe always fights back when provoked excessively. And at this stage we shall have provoked it enough.

But does this mean humans should not mine other planets?

No, it does not mean that at all. It is needed if we are to progress as a species, but it needs to be done under some protocol and under the supervision of some global body, that comprises of 65% of the worlds' leading scientists who review the proposals of private companies along with politicians, and then either approve or disapprove any proposal, depending upon its long lasting repercussions. 

Nevertheless, in 2075 the world will be thrown into disaccord and chaos due to these factors and due to the excessive and unregulated use of technology. Where smart technology which could have been the cause of positive human evolution, is now breaking the social and moral foundation of human civilisation.

In 2075, the world appears to believe in software programs more than their own common sense, and this happened when humans started using computer generated programs as an auxiliary means to attain higher decision making capabilities. But it took a completely wrong turn, when humans began relying on artificial intelligence for their simple decision making needs.

Here X is an intelligent robot, that is a promoted by its manufacturers as: a member of the family, you can always depend on!

And for this example I am considering "Y" to be the family/individual who owns this self aware robot.

Morning scene : Interaction between the owner and self aware machine

Hey X, I want to eat breakfast. I am feeling happy today.

Ah haa, Y, you are happy today. I am happy too! The Sun is shining bright, your towel and clothes are placed on the table, and while you are getting ready to greet the new and bright day, let me prepare:

Bread and jam, some salmon, a few peaches and a small shot of fruit juice cocktail.

The algorithm is written in such a way, that it invokes a mood based situation and description. In this case. X tells you it is sunny, it is bright, you are happy, even indicates where your clothes are placed, and then finally says let me prepare your breakfast.

Your mind receives this input as follows:

Sunny : it is verifiable. You look outside and you see it indeed is sunny

Bright : You notice it is bright as well ( and that is the trick. ) if it is sunny it will be bright. But the robot puts it in a way, that you receive it as an input that you can only verify via the self aware robot. At this stage you believe your robot is really smart and it knows you better than your wife. ( Poor loving wife ) Who actually loves you more than the universe would, leave alone the robot. 

Happy: It reminds you , you are happy. Although in this case it is based on your verbal confession. But even if you had not said it, it could tell this based on your facial expression or body language. And given the morning rush you do not even realise that it mentioned you are happy, because you confessed it before the machine. And when it reminds you that you are happy. You think wow, what a caring machine or should I say a machine that feels like a human. For a while, subconsciously you compare it with your wife. And you, now like the machine more than your own human wife. It tricked you and you did not even realise what happened.

Clothes: It even tells you your clothes are placed on the table. You again think, wow it knows you so well and takes care of all your needs. At this stage you believe it fully now. Via the algorithm it knows this as well.

It is at this stage it throws its check mate at you.

You do not say anything. 

And you happily, silently; and like an inanimate being accept the choice of breakfast. Because peaches symbolise Summer and Sun, juice cocktail also goes well with The Sun and Sunshine. Salmon and then other items. It has made you a slave of its choice, and you did not even know when this happened. 

At this stage you like the robot more than your wife. Because it does not argue, it is exceedingly manipulative, to the extent that it has robbed you of your free ability to express your choice. And in a year’s time you are indirectly married to your robot. In a way!

And this leads to crisis in your married life. Because you have yourself introduced a second wife in your marriage, and your actual wife who wants you to be the master of your choice, your emotions, your will and most of all, your love for her. Begins to feel strangulated in your emotional existence because her existence as a wife is overpowered by the self aware robot.

Now at the height of continued and routine interaction, you want to invest in a superior breed of this self aware robot. And replace it with a humanoid. A beautiful, attractive, always smiling, with millions of pleasure offering sensors; finally, you have pawned your life in exchange for an always “Yes My Darling” saying synthetic humanoid.

Congratulations!

You are in love again. But the question is. With who or shall I say, “with what?”

And now you definitely shall lose your ability to emote like a human. And then, if you are lucky to have kids, what will their emotional makeup be like. May the Heavens save our species!

Nevertheless, the world in 2075, is dominated by technological superiority of humans in all spheres. And the world is evolving into an emotional jungle. Many believe this is important if we are to keep the Global population under control. Many humans do not marry or form bonds of love or affection with their partners. This has led to a much bigger problem than what the so called wise men and women believed would solve.

It has created insensitive and emotion deprived Hannibal like beasts!

Because for human emotion to grow and develop in good ways, expression of feelings and love are key ingredients. If you take that away, you will still have a being that has emotions and feelings, but that being will be like a stone, meant to serve just a few purposes only. Those defined by the economy or policies. Whereas the purpose of a human being's life is multi dimensional, if you take that away from a human being, we are investing in Frankenstein’s monster like beings. And when that happens, it is not the monster that is to be blamed, but the creator of that monster, who wanted to play God, owns the responsibility for this disaster.

So much for the God, I guess!

With main focus of economic growth in order to maintain this new order emerging in the world, the world in 2075 has got divided into two dominant forces. The one that advocates preservation of human values and planet Earth and the other one that wants to exploit Earth and achieve tremendous economic growth to feed their insatiable ambitions of exploiting other planets, then one day leave this planet to die and to the dead.

This has led to a new cold war like situation where no country is left with the choice to stay neutral. And this division is now becoming more prominent and growing into a war like situation. Where it will be a war between the block that represents Earth and its preservation, and the other block that wants to gain economic growth at any cost, even if that means plunging the Earth into a state of complete destruction.

Although the Global population has witnessed economic growth in 2075 that many had predicted in 2023, still the world economy is unable to sustain the global infrastructure of uniform growth for all countries. And many nations are experiencing economic blackouts. Blackouts, because they are still unable to decide which side is acting in favour of humanity and Earth.

Many countries had invested heavily in service sector due to predicted long term gains. But with the emergence and deployment of intelligent machines, the service sector has been evolving rapidly, and many countries inspite of their use of modern and advanced technology cannot cope with this change. This is leading to economic meltdown in few countries and there is unrest and political turmoil.

The economic meltdown has degraded the standard of living in many countries, leading to moral degradation as well. And in countries where dependency on technology was very high, the situation has reached a stage, where many feel it is the end of the road. And a feeling of deep despondency has taken over.

With AI based interfaces augmenting the decision making capabilities of humans in these countries. In absence of these auxiliary means of decision making, they are experiencing a new take over of human performance, that by lack of will. Because, like the self aware robot robbed you of the emotions and other forms of free will, the use of augmented tools for decision making, gradually robbed you of your will power as well. And this is proving fatal for many countries, because the greatest resource ( man/woman power ) is unable to perform at all. 

You feel like a gun slinger, who is in possession of the gun, but with no bullets in it. And that too when you are surrounded by enemies aiming their sophisticated and fully loaded weapons at you: Here weapons relates to : tactical economics with gradual and undetectable conditioning of human emotions and feelings. And at this stage you stand no chance. You are left chance less!

And here too there is a huge imbalance and many people are realising it now. There are few countries who still have a population that possesses will power to confront any situation, but on the contrary there are many countries where the will power of the majority of the population stands obliterated and completely trampled.

They are a perfect representation of “will” that walks on crutches, and these countries are suffering the most.

And with rising temperatures and climate change, most of the countries have lost their chief resources that would otherwise support their economic growth. The very makeup of business ecosystem in these countries has been forcefully evolved to be in shambles now. With the rising sea levels, many countries have a native population of climate refugees, that have become a liability on the system. 

And these countries are now caught in two battles:

Dealing with lost natural resources and climate refugees. And the majority of population suffering from poor will power.

This has pushed these countries to depend on aid from countries that are doing well, but this puts a direct strain on their resources and their population.

And it has direct and bad consequences for a sustainable ecosystem of growth on Earth. And for obvious reasons.

Here it is important to understand that there are several countries severely affected by Climate Change, depleting their supply of natural resources. And these countries are getting dangerously dependent on countries less impacted by Climate Change.

The economically still stable nations are offering aid to these impoverished countries , but it puts a dangerous level of strain on the resources in these rich nations. Giving rise to new political and economic tensions. Which for many obvious reasons, is self manufactured by humans due to their callous application of technology and economic strategies.

At this stage only only few sectors are witnessing advancements. The overall growth and advancement in science and technology has come to a grinding halt. And if the situation persists for long, the countries supporting these poorer nations, will have nothing left to sustain their own population, and at this stage, it will be a Global anarchy. Where everyone will be a victim of the self made crisis. 

Because global politics and approach to economic growth was never undertaken the way it ought to have been. Where welfare of all, preservation of the planet and evaluation of technology from every angle prior to introducing it to consumers was completely neglected.

And today, the world in 2075, inspite of Goldman Sachs gdp forecast for 2075, is a picture of total contrasts. Where Mr. Kilmt, Mr. Munch and Mr. Picasso, all are trying to make their art form gain more visual prominence. Ignoring the fact, that real art does not compete, it only tries to offer a complete picture of the reality, where the principle forms of that reality are the most prominent. Nothing else.

Alas! World economy in 2075 has failed to be this perfect painting. And this is beginning to worry many scientists and other intellectuals across the Globe, where they now predict a moral and social apocalypse with Global ramifications.

And perhaps, this will be the nail in the coffin of human endeavours to control Climate Change and Global Warming.

So, in light of these Goldman Sachs gdp forecasts for 2075, Technology predictions for 2075, it is important that we take the best from these statistical reports shared by Goldman Sach and work on making right amendments and corrections to avoid the catastrophes, both social and economic.

Thereby offering Earth a chance it deserves, while offering humanity the chance that is its right.

And it is possible if in 2023 we do everything right, that shall yield benefits for our future generations in 2075.

Now that is the painting I would like to paint for humanity and human race in 2075 and beyond. A species that will be an intergalactic society one day, with no disputes or petty contentions. Just advancement in science and human lifestyle. With a relentless and an unbreakable will! To connect better with this post, the human will power!

Here I must recollect a very brief interaction with someone brilliantly talented ( so it seemed ) who was working on a very unique project where she was determining food and food habits in different societies and how they need to evolve in the midst of Global Warming. Especially in future when the temperatures will reach an extreme point. But what stood out the most to me during this very brief interaction with the stranger at the airport, was her attention to detail. Although I know it is bad habit to peer into someone's personal research paper, ( rough notes in this case ) but I think my curiosity would justify for the guilty conscience I developed after that incident. 

Nevertheless, her attention to detail and the way she had input every data set and defined it, was far better than any computer could achieve. And it is again another aspect that her observations would develop better output once she has fed it into a computer program developed to work on such data.

In 2075, I am at the airport, you are at the airport too, but she is not there. She has been replaced by a self aware machine that due to its algorithm is designed to believe it can generate observation based data sets far better than her. But I believe, that is impossible. Her ability to make observations and then register it with superior interpretations was matchless. As for my guilty indulgence of intermittently looking at her notes, with that fine hand writing, I just have this to reassure myself. "It made me think like that, though not like her!" 

And exactly this is the difference between human mind and algorithm. I realised it due to this interaction.

From this speculative but fact based interpretation of the world in 2075, I sought adequate inspiration to write my first science fiction novel, titled: they Loved in 2075. This novel offers a glimpse of the struggles and technological dominance of human feelings and emotions, and this science fiction novel takes the reader on this exciting journey into 2075, via a very interesting love story. 

And that is where it is rendered unique, because love in 2075, is a rare human emotion. Only few societies have been able to preserve it with a lot of conscious effort. But they are facing a different kind of isolation in the world that exists in 2075.

Sometimes it is good to allow your heart run away with your head.

However, in 2075, the self aware machines have a head, that is heedless of important emotional interdependencies while arriving at a conclusion. It is a head where heart is missing, because it is an algorithm that by nature of its design is incapable to create heart based thinking.
