Best selling science fiction books. Wonder of approximations

Human imagination is what draws our species apart from other living and thinking forms that exist on this planet. It is human imagination that becomes the incubating source of every discovery and invention as well. Without it even God will not have an existence i.e. in our world, although the supreme conscience exists with or without human imagination.

However, there are sources that offer an inexhaustible stamina to human imagination, as if it were under the influence of some magic drug. And indeed these sources, one source in particular; acts like a wonder drug for human imagination. It frees human imagination from the grasp of imponderable assets of realities, and helps it to progress into a more ponderable dimension of reality. Rescuing this imagination from the dimension of reality that aims at exhausting logical foundations of reality; is what this wonder drug does to the human imagination.

This source that offers an exhaustible stamina to human imagination is called #scifibooks, and this source is more potent in the form of best selling scifi books. Science fiction has the potential to heighten the overall capacity of human imagination by offering successive streams of new ideas to the scifi readers, who then loop these ideas with their imagination. That gives rise to the highly refined form of imagination that almost always leads to inventions and discoveries.

Now it might happen that the new ideas proposed by the #scifibooks are mere approximations of the main concept. But when it comes to science, only those innovators and discoverers succeed who believe in reaching for perfection via successive approximations. Now you might think this is a baseless claim because a genius is born to arrive at that moment of glorious imagination, simply by imagining it. But it is neither that easy nor is it true. If it were so, then a honey bee would not fly for hundreds of miles to locate that flower which it regards fit for developing the type of honey it prefers. It would just suck the nectar from any flower. But It does not do that, every honey bee only sucks nectar from a specific assortment of flowers.

And human imagination is similar. It is a garden of imaginations, where the human mind has to learn which imaginations to focus on in order to arrive at that final imagination that would guide it to discover or invent something. And no human can achieve this with successive approximations, it is the only way to gain access to the imagination that was specifically designed to be a part of a particular person’s mind.

Here, the reality is a lot stranger than one might think. Because this imagination that lies in the garden of imaginations is seeking this appropriate mind that it is destined to associate with; as much as the mind that is restlessly seeking it in this garden of imaginations so as to achieve completion of its incomplete imagination. And thereby render it grand, so grand that it becomes a discovery or an invention.

Here only one rule applies. “You seek me and I will seek you!” And both, the imagination and the mind bear this cognisance, yet most of the minds never locate this imagination in the garden of imaginations. Thus, they are never able to develop the neural nectar that is the food for a genius's mind.

And #sciencefiction books help the scifi readers to get closer to this imagination that is eagerly waiting for them in this garden of imaginations. Although, in the end, it is upto the scifi reader to realise it and let it associate with his/her own imagination. But, undoubtedly #scifibooks do move scifi readers closer to the imagination, that in the garden of imaginations is destined to be a part of their imagination. And as the two imaginations form this association, a discoverer or an inventor is born.

But the #scifi readers need to be mindful that when they  feel the presence of this imagination in the garden of imaginations, they should without any hesitation associate with it. Otherwise it shall continue eluding them for eternity and the world would be deprived of some grand discovery or an invention.

It is almost like the twitching phenomenon few scientists noticed in the legs of a dead frog, when they pressed its nerves with a metal scalpel. It was in 1700 or so that it caused a lot of debate, and many scientists, rather dreamers who continuously seek new scientific dreams, attributed it to some mysterious charge present in the dead frog’s nerves. It was an endless debate that even covered the early 1800. Just one dead frog, caused such a huge ideological tsunami in the scientific community.

But two scientists, who were like the honeybees, knew that it was actually a grand imagination knocking at the door of their minds, and it was desperate to associate with their imaginations. They had the talent to realise it as a scientific opportunity with tremendous potential, unlike the rest of their colleagues or counterparts, who were busy debating about it.

These two pioneers allowed the potential of this idea to enter the space of their mind, where they dealt with it via their scientific imaginations. And do you know what happened as a result of this interaction of imaginations? Humanity witnessed the first form of battery.

Because one of the scientists realised that if one places some fluid between two metals, slight charge is generated. Almost negligible, but charge is produced for certain. And he also observed that when other scientists were pressing the nerves of the dead frog with two metal scalpels, it was actually the gelatinous fluid present in the frog’s inner parts that acted as a conductor. Therefore causing the two scalpels to generate charge, which is the actual reason that the nerves twitch.

And if we look at the construction of modern day batteries, they are actually many layers of metal with layers of fluid separating them.

Now, that was the power of a dead frog. Because the garden of imagination is different from a real life garden where you have colourful and fragrant flowers. In the garden of imaginations, imaginations can come in all forms and smells too!

When we allow our imagination to associate with the imagination that has been specifically created for us in this garden of imaginations, we will certainly discover something or invent something. And it doesn't matter how insignificant or significant the discovery or invention may be. What matters is just one fact, it should serve some purpose and ease the trials of human life.

Think of the person who invented a crowbar or the person who invented a ballpoint pen. It is not easy to think beyond the existing conventionalities and then believe, if we roll a tiny ball inside a nib filled with ink, the movement of the ball will leave controlled markings on the paper. It was definitely a brave idea when all humans were used to writing with fountain pens and pens made from feathers and reeds.

They are the people who live in the garden of imaginations because they want to seize the imagination that is waiting for them to be identified and then create something magical in reality. Something very rudimentary but exceptionally useful, just like a ball pen. It is simply one of the most brilliant inventions. It amazes me when I think of this person deploying all his/her imaginative power to arrive at such a brilliant idea.

Moreover, in 1700 there was a lot of research done on suction pumps, because they failed to pull water above 30 feet. You must do some online research on this topic and you will be fascinated to know how long and how many successive approximations it took them in order to understand why suction pumps failed to pull water above 30 feet. It will surely leave you immensely surprised!

In 2023, it may appear to be nothing special or something that even does not deserve our attention. But think of it assuming you are living in the scientific setting that existed in 1700. At that time it must have been nothing less than a science fiction. Only that in that century science fiction did not exist in the form of #scifibooks, but in successive approximations.

But in 2023 and I am sure in the future as well, these successive approximations will be managed by scifi authors, so that a #scifi reader somewhere feels inspired and finds the imagination waiting only for him/her in the garden of imaginations.

And there is one #scifibook that leads the scifi readers into this garden of imaginations, and helps the scifi readers identify their flower of imagination that is exclusively blooming for them. And This scifibook is titled, They Loved in 2075.

This scifibook is not like other #scifibooks. It is different, because it deals with the real garden of imaginations that would exist in reality that would exist in 2075. And if future generations of humans do not associate with these imaginations carefully, human species will lose their ability to emote. And in later stages they will lose their core human feelings, their ability to love and form relationships. At that stage, humanity will be fighting a losing battle.

And do you know what is special about this scifibook? It deals with futuristic technologies via a beautifully told scifi romance story. It does not leave the scifi reader in the hinterland of futuristic imagination, rather it wraps the future centric imagination about 2075, in the impregnable layers of reality. A devastating reality that shall be an inevitable reality we all will have to deal with, if we do not take the intelligent technologies seriously today i.e. in 2023.
