Best selling science fiction books. The final list

Best selling science fiction books. The final list

Rules change, sometimes rules are bent, because change is the only permanent aspect of everything, except one thing: names/titles. Names/titles do not change, rest everything changes. That is why the names of the best selling authors have stayed with us for so long and they shall continue to stay with us and with the future scifi readers as well. Because when it comes to the titles of best selling #scifibooks and the names of the best selling authors, they amaze us with a continued sense of wonder, that too with an unchanging propensity towards these best selling #scifi books and their highly creative authors.

And what are the titles of these best selling scifi books and the names of the best selling #scifi authors that have continued to amaze all generations and will continue to do so without any doubt?

The list can be very long; and if one is to consider the likings of every scifi reader, then this list may extend forever. Because we all have our own individual preferences when it comes to the best #scifibooks. And it may happen that the author of the best scifi book never features in our list of best scifi authors. We may choose to confer that honour on some different scifi author.

So how does one decide this static list of best selling scifi books and sifi authors? Without getting twisted in the unscrambling process to determine the good from the best and then retain it as a list that never changes, no matter how many new scifi books we may read!

Wow, is that even possible? Because there might be a new scifi book that is better than the best scifi books classified by us based on our personal index of best scifi books.

Certainly it is a situation that needs to be addressed without causing any distortion to the standard practice of selecting a best scifi book. And more than this we need to make sure that we are not being disrespectful towards the universally accepted list of best selling scifi books and scifi authors. Which means, we have to be diplomatically correct without being practically incorrect, and without being unjust to our own list of best selling scifi books and scifi authors.

It sounds like reciting all English alphabets in the right sequence from A to Z, and then declaring that I prefer to use words that mostly contain the following alphabets, because I like their sound. It is not at all easy, because finding words which use alphabets preferred by you, is like expecting a word like: “Fiction” to always mean fiction, but sound different. And yet be somehow sure that other people would still understand its meaning. Although the word fiction sounds like some other word now. That is not easy to achieve without some magical interference.

But let us try if we can compile a very concise list of our best selling scifi books and the best selling authors; and then compare it with a universally accepted list of best selling #scifibooks and scifi authors.

Are you ready?

Awesome! Let us get started, if nothing, we will at least get to refresh our memory of best selling scifi books and best selling #scifi authors.

Here is a list of best selling scifi books based on what the world wide web users believe. And these compilations of best selling scifi books are from highly respected institutions, so we have every reason to trust them.

Now based on these lists, you can easily extract your list of best selling scifi books. And that too without causing any furore in the scifi readers’ community. Because the scifi books mentioned in these lists happen to be the best scifi books for most of the scifi readers.

As far as I am concerned, my list of best selling #sciencefiction books is very short and it has not changed for many years now. Because they have the powerful element of mystery that keeps getting deeper and more intriguing at scientific and personal level. Every time I read them they make me wonder about new possibilities and limitless angles of looking at the same scientific or fictitious facts.

It is like a marriage, where you have to find something new, something attractive, and something very pleasing in your partner everyday. If you do not do this, you will be living a life of a beautiful fantasy that is caged, because it fails to find the environment that would let it transform itself into a beautiful reality. And that too when the fantasy that resides inside the cage is authentically beautiful, but due to the imagination constricting nature of the cage, the fantasy is never able to bloom in its most beautiful form. In  marriage it can become the tragedy of the husband and the wife as well. Where either the wife is the fantasy and the husband is the cage, or the husband is the fantasy and the wife is the cage, or in worst scenarios both are both i.e. the husband is the cage as well as the fantasy and the wife too is the fantasy and the cage herself.

And a scifi reader who cannot let his/her imagination grow out of his/her own cage of wonder lacking imagination. Then the scifi reader will never get to experience the true joy of reading that best scifi book. However, it is not only the scifi readers who fail to facilitate the process of creating the wonder of scifi imagination. If a scifi book does not have the right track of imagination with verifiable scientific arguments; then the scifi book will either cast the #scifi reader’s fantasy into a cage or the scifi book itself will evolve into a fantasy that lies caged in the impoverished scientific imagination of the scifi author. And no matter how hard the scifi reader might try, he/she will never be able to derive any sort of excitement from this scifi book.

So, a scifi reader can be the cage where his/her own ability to imagine the wonder of fantasy is too small or too limited.

Or

The scifi author and his/her book is the cage where the #scifi author’s fantasy offers no excitement whatsoever to the scifi readers.

Please imagine it in all forms as I detailed it in the relationship between husband and wife. You are correct. It can be extremely doleful!

But! Yes, there are best selling and all time best #scifibooks that overcome this limitation, where the fantasy gets trapped in the cage. Because just like a married couple willing to lead a happy and uncomplicated life, understanding and mutual acknowledgement of each others qualities and IQ is essential ( now IQ can be classified into many categories: IQ of married life, IQ of social life, IQ of romantic life, IQ of hate, IQ of love, IQ of being promiscuous, IQ of devotion, IQ of being able to seek joy from small things in life…… Ah it can be an infinite list. I can write a million page long thesis on this.) Similarly for a best selling scifi author, working on understanding his/her target audience is of highest importance. Because without knowing the IQ of his/her scifi readers, a scifi author can never be able to impress them with his/her imagination.

And an experienced scifi author, via his/her experience possesses total command over a vast range of IQs. His/her IQ is not restricted to average common value of IQ, but the IQ of this experienced scifi author is way above average. And when he/she applies this IQ to the overall flow of the storyline of his/her scifi book. He/she creates a world of science fiction that finds easy compatibility with the scifi reader’s IQ. And due to this ability these scifi authors get rid of all situations where the scifi reader’s fantasy would feel caged or constricted.

And given below is my list of such best selling scifi books. Where the scifi authors' IQ blends with my own IQ with such sleekness, that every time I read them, they not only improve my IQ they empower it as well.

  • Dune

  • The Time Machine

  • Frankenstein

  • The Martian

  • The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide

I am sure, at least one of these best selling #scifi books will be your best scifi book too. And here it is needless to say, that their authors are my best selling authors as well.

Especially Ms. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. She as an author has always amazed me.

How could someone, way back in the 18th century, think of a concept like Frankenstein’s Monster?

Because in 2023 and as AI advances in the years ahead, we will be able to create better versions of Frankenstein creation. I do not refer to them as Frankenstein’s Monster, because with the right application of AI and Bio Technology we can create highly intelligent thinking beings. Just like humans.

Frankenstein’s Monster always felt painful because he had no soul. But with the right ethical database, and databases which deal with different IQs of human lives, this creation will be a beautiful creation.

And Ms. Mary Shelley indirectly envisioned this more than a century ago. This is what makes her the master of IQs. So futuristic, so universal, and so very appealing, that it even amazes us today; and will continue to do so for many more centuries.

As for bugs and viruses, they exist everywhere, even in organically produced men and women. Had it not been so, then nobody would have ever got accused of murders and theft.

So there is no doubt that Ms. Mary Shelley’s scifi book will amaze us even in 2075.

Yes 2075!

2075, will come with many amazements and surprises, and the most surprising of all will be the way human emotions will evolve and the possibility that humans will begin to emote like self aware machines. And it is also likely that then many of us will feel isolated and wretched like the Frankenstein’s Monster, as explained and described by the great Ms. Mary Shelley herself.

Here is the most interesting part. Science fiction book, They Loved in 2075, offers some amazing IQ about the world that will exist in 2075.

Not surprised enough, well this would! It is a science fiction romance set in 2075. Now you must be wondering how humans can fall in love in 2075, when most of them will be experiencing synthetic and machine-like emotions and feelings. To uncover this mystery and enhance your IQ on love and the world that will exist in 2075; please discover the #scifi book titled, They Loved in 2075.
